Investigation - Union Springs Home
Location: Union Springs, NY
Evidence Found: None.

Comments: The NY Team investigated a home that contained an interesting past history as well as interesting paranormal claims. The owners reported when they moved into the home, everything was exactly as it had been left. Further historical analysis concluded that a woman named Erma had been killed by a car right outside the home. Herself and her niece had been living at the home as well. Claims of paranormal activity included the full gambit of voices, phantom smells, object's missing and then reappearing, and shadow figures. Due to the number of claims involved, all types of equipment were deployed.

No voices were captured during data review, but the team did find high EMF's produced by various areas in the kitchen. As some preliminary research has shown, high levels of EMF can produce a paranoia and even manipulation in your senses, particularly sight, sound, and touch. In this way, voices can be heard, things may be seen, as well as heard. Some people are tolerant to higher EMF's and have less side effects while others are not.

Other factors determined by the phantom smells such as cigarettes in the home was found, but was likely due to the wood absorbing the smell. Wood can often absorb smells such as cigarettes and be released overtime. Cold/Hot temperatures can cause wood to expand and contract, also releasing the smells in short bursts of intensity.

The team also found no other data to fully explain any of the paranormal activity going on within the home, but there were several personal experiences by some team members. Some voices and noises were heard within the home that could not be determined for their source. This, however, was not captured on audio. In addition, there were several EMF spike fluctuations that could not be accounted for. While EMF spikes are not considered absolute paranormal evidence, it is listed due to the fact that no source was found and was captured on video. Overall, the team could not determine a positive identification for the home as non paranormal or paranormal. There are two many factors playing between natural occurrences and unnatural. We may need to return to the home at a later time to identify a solution.
