Investigation - Gabriel’s Path Home
Date: 11/14/08
Location: Poughquag, NY
Evidence Found: None.

Comments: The team was called in to investigate a case forwarded to us from TAPS. The client and her family had begun to experience odd noise and other occurrences within the home and were fearful of the well-being of her family. The claims ranged from shuffling in the middle of the night, to objects moving to create noise, to having people feel someone near them. The home here was recently built and was in a completely new development area. This made historical research on the area very difficult as this area was completely wooded only a few decades ago. In fact, after heavy historical research no claims of any human settlements in this area were found. This isn't to say that there may have been a non-disclosed property such as a private cabin, as homeowners a few hundred years ago would have settled in these forests near running water. However, since we couldn't find anything to point us in this direction, we could not verify this speculation

After an entire night's worth of investigation, the team was unable to find anything paranormal in nature. Electro-magnetic fields were believed to cause some of the un-easy feelings that people had felt throughout the home, but absolutely no EMF leakage was found. This was expected to be the case as new homes have well-shielded cables and wires that would not give off high EMF's. Most, if not all, of the claims were able to be safely debunked as natural object movements or sounds that could occur within the home.

In terms of the evidence, no data was found that would point to paranormal activity. Everything was safely debunked as natural noises and video. This was an important case to help debunk and verify that everything experienced was natural as it gives clients an ease-of-mind. Moving into new homes, regardless of age, is always a stressful time in a families life. "New-Home Jitters" often occur as a result of this and paranormal activity is sometimes blamed. Debunking is very important in these cases as it helps to solidify and put to rest some of these jitters to allow the client and family to live in the home peacefully and without incident.
